The Water Control District today

SCEWCD is comprised of 23.06 miles of swales, Ninety-six Inlets/Catch basins and Grates, 635 Pipes, and 5.6 Miles of Perimeter canals. Our district covers approximately 1,000 acres, over 600 single family homes, actual number of residents is unknown but we continue to grow each year. We operate as a co-permittee with Lee County and other local Governments under the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit. Our operations are guided by Florida Statute, Chapter 298: Drainage and Water Control.
